I am sad to see that the general standard of wedding photography continues to decline.

On flicking through the Eastern Daily Press yesterday a page of wedding photographs caught my eye. One was outstandingly lit and beautifully posed.  Imagine, when I looked closely, my surprise at seeing it was of Kate(our ED manager) and her husband taken by Brian.  I then looked closely at the six pictures featured and not one was lit properly. They were just awful with black racoon eyes. Don’t photographers know about light anymore?

At Elaine’s wedding near Southampton  I was astonished to see two sample albums of local photographers at the hotel reception venue.  They were really bad. I would be mortified if our students did not do better on their first wedding. Amazingly I was informed that one of the albums was supplied by the area Chairman of a well known organisation!
