Yesterday we were visiting the Barrett & Coe studio in Redditch and took the opportunity to see a young lady from Droitwich who had enquired about our Portait Photography Course and Wedding Photography Course. She had done some weddings and a few at home portraits. The weddings she had done, although far from the finished article, demonstrated a clear talent for wedding photography probably heavily influenced by her background as a graphic designer.

She explained that her main problem was her inability to attract business. She had attended a marketing course for start up businesses at Birmingham University but it had not led to her attracting any work at all! She had also attended a two day wedding course but Marketing was only given about 30 minutes and as there were 15 other people the practical photography was unsatisfactory.

It seems that every photographer and his dog is now offering photography courses mostly in order to make up for a dwindling business.

Firstly, conventional marketing does not work with social photography. Secondly, the only way to improve your photography is to have training and feedback continuously over a 4 to 6 month period. This is why our wedding and portrait courses extend for that period of time and 50% is on business and marketing. It is no good taking great images if you can’t get work and can’t maximise the sale.

In 2012 we have helped photographers book more than 5,000 portrait sittings, attract many weddings, and achieve outstanding sales. No other photography course can show such a proven track record of success for their course graduates.

For more information call 01603 629 739 to make an enquiry about our courses starting in 2013.
