We are often asked what its really like owning a studio when people enquire about starting a photography business. Here is a little insight:

“Just when you think you’ve seen everything. Quite reserved Portuguese ED customers last week struggling to decide on a package eventually deciding on just a DVD slideshow after painstakingly going though prices and combinations. Preparing receipt I ask how their going to pay. “Cash” they say. Rather a lot of spare cash to carry I think. Sign order and she’s standing there with a tenner, gives it to me. Pause. I say “it’s £275” She says “Oh I thought you meant £2.75…” Awkward pause. “Why would you think that?” I ask. Husband jumps in “It’s ok, we’ll pay it next week” “Yeah, right I think”

Well, would you believe it… He called Tuesday to say he was coming in to pay so I take a punt and prepare the DVD and sure enough he came in with cash and went away happy with his DVD.

People eh?”
