We all know that word of mouth marketing is one of, if not the, best form  of marketing. In addition to being the best,  it is usually also the cheapest way of getting new or repeat business. The problem is how do you keep yourself prominent in your customers mind and how do you get them to share your brilliant imagery with potential new clients?

With the proliferation of smart phones, why not look at providing interactive galleries via a smartphone app? It’s better than an online gallery as they don’t need an Internet connection to view it because the low res images are embedded in the app itself. You can brand the app with your studio details and it has interactivity such as a slideshow mode.

Having created a few apps myself, I went looking for a quick and simple way of doing this through a 3rd party that works on Mac and PC and creates galleries viewable on iOS and Android phones as well as via a web browser.

What I found an American voucher discount site called PhotoDough (which is part of the Digital Wedding Forum I am already a member of) which currently has a discounted offer for 6 months unlimited use of a gallery app creation software called MyPhotoApps

You can have a free 3 day trial but if you purchase in the next day or so via the PhotoDough website, you can get the time limited offer of 6 months for $39 (around £25.00 after the $ to £ conversion) Regular pricing is currently $99 for 6 months. For pricing details click here

To get the time limited deal, click here to register with Photo Dough

If you register via this link http://photodough.com/r/22714 there is a referral reward of $10 which will be donated to Children In Need (because this was not the reason for writing this blog item).

I wouldn’t recommend using it for every client but for wedding clients its brilliant because what bride wouldn’t want to show her favourite 20 or 30 images from her wedding gallery.
