Carrying the torch has some unexpected things that go with it! Have to be up at 4 am to be ready and get to the meeting point by 5 20 am! This seems an awful long time to kill before the designated 300 metre run which is only 500 yards from the meeting place and does not start till 9.40 am. Two bus loads of the Barrett and Coe team and friends and family are coming to support so it should be a fun experience. The most memorable run with the torch was probably Mohamed Ali at Atlanta in 1996 when we were the official photographers to the British team which we also did in Barcelona in 1992. So Barrett and Coe do have some real past with the Olympics tradition. Favourite image was probably Steve Redgrave returning to the British competitors reception area in the Olympic village with his fourth gold medal and showing it to Tim Henman and Kelly Holmes.
