Barrett & Coe Baby of the Year 2012

Ian Wilson, of Barrett & Coe Caversham, has won the Barrett & Coe Baby of the Year 2012 competition with his delightful image of Grace, whose mum brought her to Ian’s studio after registering for a photographic session through Barrett & Coe’s national partnership with Emma’s Diary. The annual competition; run by Barrett & Coe, awards £50 to a winner each month and then culminates in the £1,000 prize for Baby of the Year, which Grace clinched having won December 2012 Baby of the Month.

On being selected as the overall winner for 2012 Ian (pictured right) said “I’m thrilled for Grace and her mum and dad as she was an absolute star throughout the sitting. One of the happiest and most smiley babies I can remember. Naturally I’m delighted that one of my images has been selected as Baby of the Year as we try to get the very best from every baby session, so it’s nice to have some recognition from our peers.”

Ian established his own Barrett & Coe photography studio in March 2011, and has also recently won the January 2013 competition with one of his images.

Grace’s parents said, “The day of the photography session was brilliant, we had a great time. Ian was really helpful; made us relaxed, and we loved the slideshow at the end of the session. We would like to say a massive thank you to Barrett & Coe for picking our daughter to win Baby of the Year 2012”
