Barrett & Coe, the UK’s leading Portrait and Wedding Photography network, are seeking to appoint a part-time Social Media Coordinator with proven knowledge to extend our presence across all major channels, with an immediate focus on Facebook.

There are several aspects of the business to create engaging content for; baby and family portraits, weddings, photography training and the Franchise opportunity.

Candidate requirements

You will have a good understanding of marketing channels including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Google+.

This role enables you to enjoy an excellent work/life balance to suit your lifestyle (4 hours per day, 3 days per week, based at our offices on Thorpe Road, Norwich) and may suit someone who has a wide range of relevant skills but is not looking for immediate full-time employment.

You would however be an integral part of the team and that will require dedication and a positive “can do” attitude.

Candidate specification

Experience

  • Proven ability to write engaging content and utilise eye-catching images for social media audiences
  • Maintaining daily engagement across social media networks to engage with existing members and growing new audiences
  • Familiarity with Facebook Insights and Facebook Ads
  • The ability to work under pressure and manage workloads effectively

Responsibilities

  • Daily management of inbound and outbound contacts made via social media
  • Developing a clear, consistent voice across all networks
  • Supporting the management team with content production to create engagement
  • Planning, scheduling and publishing real time content across social media platforms.

Candidate skills

Essential

  • Excellent attention to detail and proven written ability, in the social media field
  • Flexible in approach and able to accept varying tasks at short notice
  • The ability to be a team player but also comfortable working on your own initiative
  • Mac and PC literate (to also use Microsoft Office etc)

Desirable

  • Post A-level learning (academic and or work related)
  • Face-to-face and visual presentation skills
  • Basic knowledge of WordPress and MailChimp
  • Basic digital image editing skills (Photoshop)
  • Full driving license
