Spain 2008 – Photography Workshop
Costs
Photographers: £250.00 £150.00 This covers Models, tuition, hire cars etc.
Partners/Friends/Family who are non-photographers: £100.00 £50.00
Luxury Villa Cost per double room per night is £50.00 x 5 nights = £250.00
Hotel Cost per room per night is £25.00 x 5 nights = £125.00 this includes breakfast. A 3 course meal at the hotel costs approx €10 which includes free red wine from the restaurants’ own vineyard- it is great!
Illustrative costs:
A couple consisting of 1 photographer and 1 non-photographer sharing a double at hotel = £162.50 per person + cost of flights
A couple consisting of 1 photographer and 1 non-photographer sharing a double at Luxury Villa = £225.00 per person + cost of flights
1 photographer in Single room at hotel = £275.00 + cost of flight
1 photographer single occupancy at Luxury Villa = £400.00 + flights
Availability: 2 x places left for Photographers (not including partners/family also attending)
Priorty booking for franchisees and students is until Friday 23rd November. After that it will be made available to other photographers.
REMEMBER THIS TRIP IS ALLOWABLE AS A BUSINESS EXPENSE (Check this out with your accountant.)

in Granada, Spain at 2135hrs
Tuesday 22nd April 1 day photography workshop and demo in some great
locations.
Wednesday 23rd April Practical sessions with models – there will be 5
separate studios.
Thursday 24th April Suggested visit to secluded beach with great restaurant.
Gala dinner at the villa
Friday 25th April AM- Critique session
PM- Suggested trip to Granada and Alhambra Palace.
BBQ at the Villa
Saturday 26th April Free time. Flight FR2639 departs 2210hrs and arrives at
Stansted at 2359hrs
Granada is a city and the capital of the province of Granada, in the autonomous region of Andalusia, Spain. It is situated at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains, at the confluence of two rivers.
The Alhambra, a Moorish citadel and palace, is in Granada. It is one of the most famous items of the Muslim, Jewish , and Christian historical legacy that makes Granada a hot spot among cultural and tourist cities in Spain. The Almohad
urbanism with some fine examples of Moorish and Morisco constructions is preserved at the part of the city called the Albaicin.

2 x Waterparks near by
The Lecrin Valley is one of outstanding beauty with many walks and fascinating drives. It is completely away from the main tourist areas. It was ‘the valley of happiness’ according to the Moors and an area of outstanding natural beauty with vast skies and stunning vistas. Its rolling hills topped with Moorish watch towers, tiny hermitages and aromatic pine forests, its deep ravines, precipitous cliffs and abundance of water provide the backdrop to the soft greens of the olive plantations situated against extraordinary red hillsides, glistening citrus groves and delicate spindly almond trees.
Melegis, where both the villas and the hotel Los Naranjos are situated is in the middle of 1000’s of orange trees. If you go for a walk you can pick succulent juicy oranges from the trees. There is a massive lake nearby with other tiny rural villages all holding little street markets on a regular basis.
Roman and Moorish ruins are in abundance and the incredible Granada is just 25 mins away. 25 mins in the opposite direction is the Southern Spanish coast with secluded beaches and amazing beach situated restaurants.
There are many local walks which give the opportunity to take in the stunning scenery around Melegis. Brian was fascinated by the area for photography – there are so many possibilities.
Included this year will be a landscape photography session as well as the portrait and wedding workshops.
The Accommodation
The Luxury Villas boast two swimming pools (1 heated) and also have 2 mountain bikes available to the group. The two villas are situated side by side and are a 2 minute walk from the hotel restaurant. They are vast in size – the dining room table in the larger villa will seat 25! There’s also sky TV and sitting out areas on different levels. We will require upfront payment for the Villas.
The Hotel is of excellent standard, offering ensuite rooms with stunning views across the Lecrin Valley. The cost of the hotel is payable on arrival direct to the hotel.
20 minutes away are 2 golf courses, one also having a leisure centre offering a gym, pool, beauty treatments and a superb bar and restaurant.
We have reserved accommodation available at the Luxury Villa and the Hotel, first come first served; please specify your first choice when paying your deposit.
