Barrett & Coe have trained over 200 people from all walks of life, many of whom are now making a full or part-time living from their professional wedding and portrait photography. This experience has shown it is not possible to learn all that is required to operate and run a professional photography business on a 1, 2 or 4 day course. This is why our photography courses are spread over a 3 or 6 months period to give you the time to assimilate all the knowledge required.

Photography course benefits
Held mostly in Ware, Hertfordshire (close to London Stansted) our Portrait and Wedding Photography Courses have the most in-depth syllabus for photographic training in the UK. As an add-on, included in the course fee is access to family portrait bookings and wedding leads throughout the UK (for students who achieve Grade 2 and above).

Our Photography Courses are unique:
- Learn selling techniques employed by course tutor David MacDonald (past Kodak Photographer of the year) to achieve average sales of over £900 per family portrait session
- Discover how most of our ex course students can average over £2,000 per wedding. We have many with portrait sales in excess of £70,000 per year in addition to weddings
- Following completion of your course your weddings and portraits will look like you have been a professional photographer for 10 years or more
- Many students have earned their course fees back before the end of the course, sometimes achieving portrait sales in excess of £1,000
- Nationally renowned judges for the Master Photographers Association (MPA) and the British Institute of Professional Photographers (BIPP), George Dawber, Peter Ellis, Ray Lowe, Llewellyn Roberts and many others have said that licentiate qualification panels from Barrett & Coe course attendees are of a consistently higher standard than the other panels they judge

- Student groups are usually about 6 to 10 people and include one-to-one sessions with course tutors
- Practical Day for 6th seminar, photography experience with models, discovering what it’s like photographing a real wedding or family portrait sitting.

In the last 12 months our phototgraphy course students have come from as far away as Russia, Norway, Bahrain, Scotland and Ireland. All have been so impressed that they returned for a second course. (We do one Wedding Photography Course and one Portrait Photography Course).
On finishing the course, Barrett & Coe are the only organisation who can provide immediate bookings so that you have a profitable business from your very first day by opening a Barrett & Coe Portrait and Wedding studio. We can assist you with your marketing and appointment bookings, all you have to do is take the photographs and start earning money.

Each student is presented with a much coveted Barrett & Coe Diploma in Photography upon completion of their course.
Approximately 10% of our students gain a Grade 1 Diploma score.
