This Sunday’s session on planning a wedding was very enjoyable and quite a revelation
Chris Newman, 13/10/13

Having taken more than 12,000 weddings Barrett & Coe have vast and unique experience in wedding photography. This knowledge and experience was acknowledged by the City & Guilds when they decided to launch Level 4 Higher Level Qualification in Photographic and Multimedia for Portraiture and Social Photography and commissioned Barrett & Coe to write this unit.

This project has provided the basis to the 14 wedding photography course seminars which we provide. We believe that one of the most important seminars deals with the in-depth knowledge required by a professional wedding photographers to give a comprehensive service to their clients. Only the photographer, amongst wedding suppliers is present from beginning to the end of the wedding. So in reality the good wedding photographer will ensure the smooth running of the wedding which people often attribute to a wedding planner.

The responsible wedding photographer provides far more to their clients than just the photography. The wedding knowledge seminar details every aspect of the timings and events taking place throughout the day:

  • What can go wrong
  • What to do about it when it does!
  • How to achieve fabulous photography without impinging on the family and guests enjoyment
  • The pre-wedding meeting with the couple

The short video clip above shows Andrew Coe, a qualified teacher and founder of Barrett & Coe, introducing the first part of the pre-wedding meeting with the couple.
