Distance is no object for Sarah!
There are not that many people who would see a 6000+ mile round trip -that takes 14 hours each way - once a month for 3 months for training - as a simple process
Surprisingly Sarah Reece is not the first person to do it for a Barrett & Coe Fantastic Photography course. She follows her friend Michelle who also travelled to Norwich from Bahrain to become a great photographer.
Sarah’s background is as a dancer and from her love of people and performance she has built other skills to suit her career and life ambitions. Since moving to Bahrain she has qualified as a Special Needs Teacher, with a personal love of capturing fantastic expressions with the camera met through her friends and family. But for Sarah that was not quite enough.
She started her Portrait Photography course in early November 2007. It was friend Michelle who told Sarah about Barrett & Coe. Michelle is now running a thriving family portrait business in Bahrain with the photographic, marketing and business skills she learnt with Barrett & Coe
“Michelle’s doing really well and I can tell from her comments to me that she’s loving every minute of it, even though she’s choc-a –block with sittings” was Sarah’s view
With daughter Cristina (5) and son Stevie-Beau (3) a constant source of inspiration and part of a personal network of likely customers through school and playgroups Sarah plans to take up professional photography when she graduates with Barrett & Coe
She cites the balance between the photography and business skills taught as perfect for someone wanting to branch out whilst at the same time not losing sight of family commitments and aspirations
What’s not so certain is where she will base her business. Bahrain is certainly the first stop but a return to Chile in South America is already tempting her!
Sarah is on the Option 2 Portrait Course that covers 3 weekends - starting on Friday 2 November 2007 and finishing on Friday 11 January 2008
She has also booked her place on the January 2008 Social course
Sarah is one of the 8 women out of 2 delegates on the November Wedding and Portrait courses
